I've removed all the bolts that hold it, plus the timing belt and its idler pulley on the front of the intake manifold. I can grab the stud that the idler pulley was attached to and lift the front of the manifold 3/8" or so, but there is something still holding it at the back (closest to the firewall). When I jiggle the manifold up and down the EGR valve moves. The service manual illustration appears to show the intake manifold being removed or installed with the EGR valve still in place. Does the EGR valve attach to the intake manifold or the engine block beneath it?
